Lawyers are losing ground.
The legal profession is in a tailspin.
More and more people don’t trust them.
82% can’t afford a lawyer.
People are going to court without one!
When legal troubles threaten they must try the best they can to get Justice!
They flood our courts with improper pleadings and groundless defenses that too often fail to win.
Some judges allow pro se litigants (those without lawyers) to skate on specifics, loosening the official restraints somewhat, but all require pro se litigants to present “substance” supported by existing laws and official rules of procedure and evidence.
Artificial Intelligence offers to write filings for pro se litigants, and tens of thousands rely on AI to “be their lawyer”.
But!
AI is falling short for pro se litigants and causing giant headaches for judges.
AI filings “look legal” to people who don’t know the rules of procedure, rules of evidence, or the tactics that winning requires.
AI can’t do everything that needs to be done to win!
An avalanche of AI filings are jamming our courts, not only from pro se litigants but also from lazy lawyers. Courts are cracking down. AI filings presenting misleading arguments and incorrect citations to controlling law hinder the prompt and efficient administration of justice for everyone!
This exploding trend will continue as more people see their best interest may not be promoted by lawyers demanding outrageous fees and too frequently failing to fight effectively from fear of displeasing judges or from lacking knowledge of the common-sense tactics that winning requires … tactics AI does not understand.
AI is not enough to give you the “edge” you need to control judges and get the outcome you seek, but as more of you tackle the task of fighting alone to enforce your rights, the pro se community will expand and ultimately demand Public Legal Education in our tax-supported schools.
82% of us have no choice but to “fight alone” or suffer the avoidable consequence of losing.
It’s not fair for 82% of you to be struggling in the dark when you face legal battles alone!
It’s not American!
It’s wrong!
