We pride ourselves we proud Americans.
We pride ourselves to think we’ve passed the Rubicon, that terrors are behind us, that we are safe at last from barbarians and fools, that somehow all our sorrows will be soothed away without our doing much differently than we have been doing, without rising in unity to reset the landmarks of Reason and Rules that made our nation great in the first place.
We are blind to history.
We have left our first love.
We have forgotten the cause that motivated men for thousands of years to establish governments protective of the innocent among us, governments predicated and erected on that firm foundation that defends itself against all wrong by wisdom, love, and adherence to truth … governments that cannot be corrupted by men’s avarice or the ignorance that hides from Reality.
Men rode on horseback or in wagons for hundreds of muddy miles to arrive in Philadelphia in response to a common call to tear down the stronghold of monarchy that God warned men against in the days of Samuel the prophet. A hue and cry went forth from wiser men than any living in this day, and men put aside their petty personal needs to unite at Independence Hall on that day (we honor with our hotdogs and beer without much thinking of their purpose or their plan) to fix what had for far too long kept the working class at labor while the rich and wrongfully entitled rode arrogantly in their fancy carriages past the groveling poor.
Those worthy souls at Philadelphia were inspired by what that middle letter in the word Justice should remind us of … The Price of Liberty.
They bowed their knees and pledged their lives to that noble call.
Why do not we?
We can.
We can begin again to honor as they did what that middle letter calls us to do.
We can reset the landmarks of Love and Wisdom they set for us.
We can rise to restore the Reason and Rules that promote Prosperity, secure Peace, and protect Innocence from barbarians and fools.
Together we can do these things.
We are America!
