When I was a lad growing up in a small Ohio town, one of our teachers was a stickler for truth. His name was Joe Webster. He showed us “how to know for certain and when to ask questions”.
He taught us the meaning of “truth” and how to discern its counterfeits.
We weren’t allowed to guess. He required us to say only what we knew for certain, building on that solid foundation, adding one thought at-a-time until he could no longer poke holes in our arguments.
Do you see how this can help you win in court?
Nothing assumed. Nothing taken for granted. Everything rock-solid and verifiable … not guesswork, conjecture, or opinion.
Get victory for yourselves. Think like Joe taught us. Put aside opinions that divide. Seek truth on which we can all agree. Demand that those who govern us obey the same rules. Re-build the foundation of Reason. Re-set the landmarks to guide this and future generations to be winners in every aspect of their lives. Force lawmakers to favor us individuals, not giant corporations that have no God-given rights!
Joe taught us to doubt what others say until they prove themselves. He told us to challenge assumptions and ignore “someone told me” stuff. He trained us to overcome ignorance and defeat superstitions with evidence.
Some of my classmates thought he was insane. Parents complained. The school board was consulted. People whispered behind his back, this long-haired conductor of the town orchestra, master billiards player, maker of rockets and strange-smelling experiments in the chemistry lab, measurer of planetary movements, and madman demanding fastidious attention to every tiny detail.
Joe was right!
We need what Joe taught – us and some of the judges in our highest courts who set truth aside for the sake of political expedience or private ideas about what’s right and wrong, moral and immoral, and whether innocence should be protected at all costs.
People who did no wrong are in prison because Joe’s truth is ignored. Some are executed. Others lose their children, their homes, their life savings, their hope!
Truth is not theory or statistical probability. Truth is the foundation on which Justice must be made to stand once more!
Together we can repeal the wrongs that wound our nation’s soul. We can guide our children on the path to Peace and Prosperity. We can lead our local communities and command men and women in our highest offices as the Founders of our nation envisioned we would do.
We can fight darkness with Light.
