Your government promises “rights”.

You have lots of them.

One is the right to play baseball.

If you have a place to play, others to play with you, and a bat and ball, you have everything you need.

You have a right to play.

But!

The game of baseball has rules. Lots of rules. The major league rules comprise more than 125 pages of rules!

• You can’t hit the ball with a tennis racket!

• If you hit the ball fair and start running, you must step on each base before going to the next.

• If you swing and miss three times you must go sit down.

Stuff like that. You can’t play the game without rules.

You can’t play any game without rules.

Legal battles are games with rules.

Too many good people are being denied Justice these days because they don’t know the rules.

• Some lose their children.
• Some lose their homes.
• Some lose their life savings.
• Some are locked behind bars, deported, or executed … all because the rules were not known and obeyed.

Imagine how opposing baseball players would react if you insisted on swinging at the ball once again after dusting the air three times already? Would they make special adjustments for you? Would they let you have your way if you said, “I’m just learning the game.”? What if you held your breath, kicked your feet, and loudly complained, “It’s not fair!”?
