You feel it in every fiber of your being.
It was planted in you at birth and, if it has not been quenched by the hope-shattering disappointments life is sometimes heir to, it still burns brightly in your soul and troubles you to want for others what we all want for ourselves – peace, a reasonable bit of prosperity, the love of others that springs from our love for them, and to be treated as equals in the eyes of our laws.
You need no law school education (as I have) to sense what is just and what is unjust. You are empowered deep within to know already. You know that infants must be nurtured and protected. You know that avarice and crime must be barred from injuring the innocent.
And, you know that to secure for ourselves the benefits of justice we must employ Love and Wisdom.
This knowledge is in all of us.
So long as injustice remains a bitter, peace-destroying presence in our world, you know down deep that each of us is called to do the best that we are able to secure for ourselves and our posterity a system of government and Justice Administration that is bounded and constrained by those two lights, Love and Wisdom, for Love and Wisdom acting in unity is Justice.
Pray each of us may from this day forward put aside all that hinders us from sharing this Truth without apology or timidity, laboring steadfastly to learn how we can better meet the needs of all humanity, loving our neighbors as ourselves by working for Justice in our government and in our homes.
The precious, sacred seed of Love and Wisdom is alive in you now, planted securely by the Unseen Hand of Truth.
Be kind to one another!
